I went for quick run before another day of working in Tokyo. I attempted to hit Odaiba via Rainbow Promenade (the pedestrian road below Rainbow bridge) as suggested on Jog Note and some other Japanese website.
It’s open only after 9am so this morning (as early as 6am) I aborted the plan. I hit the turn to North to see if I can run along the Sumida River side. I know the tourist cruise runs it through, and I once remember that I cycled there when I was in Tokyo in 2001-2004. The running path seems to be closed, I don’t know what for, but perhaps renovation. I see some parts have been changed from bare concrete to nice board walk looking panels. Anyway, it’s closed so I turned to the main street of Keihin road.
The next target is Hamamtsu-cho and Shiba Daimon – the place I used to stay. Nice to see the things haven’t changed (old futon shop, bike shop, etc..) and things changed a lot (restaurants and bars). I went through the street in front of my apartment in Shibakoen, and ran around Shibakoen Park and coming down South on my way back.
Perhaps tomorrow morning, I will go directly North to hit Shibakoen Park and go further North to see Ginza.
