The sports event pictures are predominantly monopolized by the professional photographers who take random shots, and they are selling them at very expensive price in my opinion.
The market is monopolized by the small group and the price is not attractive for all the athletes to buy all the pictures for their memory.
How can we solve this with crowdsourcing?
My answer is to build crowdsourcing platform to contribute random street shots of the event that can be OCRed and tagged with their bib numbers. The pictures can be given away for free or at a lot more reasonable price or in exchange of the pic that one contribute.
